AAAhh finishing Uni may well be the most glorious thing ever..

and how lucky am I that the weather is ridiculously hot.hot.hot.

Have been lazying, suntanning, shopping, eating and NOT drawing but have decided to get serious again now!I bought a glorious set of Windsor and Newton inks a while ago and to my shame have only just tried them out, the colours are AmazinG!Really happy I shelled out £10 for 8 (seems like a bargain?) and the packaging is soooper too...

Might have to start doing some decent drawing soon then..

Curious Fiend....

Curious Fiend is an arts and culture magazine that the boyf has started, the launch party was this sat. There was an exhibition of work from the magazine and cakes and beers and friends The exhibition is at Nowherenorth gallery in Barnet noth London, its a really cool space and the artist who runs it David Shillinglaw does some glorious work and also blogs on FecalFace.... All in all it was a fun evenin, looking forward to helping make more magazines and getting involved!!

So Degree show came and went, all my favourite people were there and it was a really nice night, here are some pictures of my work ....

New Shoes to Celebrate handing in all the work for my degree...will of course be wearing them to degree show...

With my long Wallpaper-esque prints I have been looking around for inspiration as to how to hang my work for the Degree Show. My tutor suggested I look at Nancy Spero and I found myself loving the organic and spontaneous energy of her work, it was definately helpful to look at when thinking about how to put my own work in an exhibition setting...

I am also constantly inspired by the work of Christain Boltanski, I love his installations they never fail to make me think....

officially only a week left to complete the Degree work...I have been cracking the whip and it has been fuuuunnn!! haha anyway got an overhead projector involved and have been printing printing printing again...

oh and on Sunday I went life drawing as per usual and we drew a man.....it was difficult, I should practise!!

aAAaahHhH!!

So only a week and a half left to complete all my degree work, much much stress, chocolate consumption and day dreaming of beaches....

and Pedro Garcia boots...

instead of the fantasy beach and boots I am printing printing printing...and my black ink is leaking all over my handbag, leaving me with sticky coal fingers and a frown...here are some pictures of my work in progress...
